Paavo Tynell, known as the great pioneer of Finnish lighting design was fondly dubbed as “The man who illuminated Finland”.

Tynell became one of the major design talents of the modern era thanks to his unique design vision. Known for their subtle, delicate aesthetic, Tynell’s designs often utilised perforated metal and brass and referenced nature through stylized leaves, vines, and snowflakes.
